Adults are invited to join the Library for this Munch & Learn session.
Joshua Wolf has been a professor of American history for fifteen years and currently teaches at Point Park University, as well as working as an historian with the Air Force Reserve. Several years ago, while living in Atchison, Kansas, Wolf learned about a local act of historical violence that the city had worked hard to forget. Wolf spent years researching, writing, and presenting on the lynching of George Johnson, which culminated in a public history project in Atchison. His research was published as the chapter, “The Ghosts of Atchison: The Lynching of George Johnson” in the essay collection, They Are Dead and Yet They Live: Civil War Memories in a Polarized America.
This program will take place in the Township Community Center.
