Penn State Master Gardeners present Unearthly Grounds: A Guide to Backyard Composing
Getting nutrients into the soil is important and one of the best ways is to use compost. We will look at the basics of home composting--from bin selection to the use of the finished product. We will discuss what it takes to have a healthy compost and talk a little of how things can go wrong. We will cover both kitchen and landscape composting. We will help you understand sort of bin you want, what tools you may need and what is safe and practical for composting.
