Bus leaves South Park Library at 12:30pm and we should be back by 4:30pm.
From comfort food like biscuits, fries and ice cream to globally inspired dishes from Colombia, you’ll savor generous tastings at several stops—all while learning about the neighborhood’s transformation from a Gilded Age haven. Hear tales of steel barons, historic mansions, and local legends as you explore one of the city’s most charming corners.
Perfect for locals and visitors alike, the Allegheny West Food Tour blends history, architecture, and exceptional food into one unforgettable afternoon. Tours are rain or shine and please wear comfy shoes and bring a water bottle.
Sign-ups begin on Wednesday, May 6th at 10:00am either by phone or in-person (in-person is recommended). You can register a maximum of 4 people at a time. The cost is $90 per person, (the cost of the food tour and bus has increased, unfortunately) and we take cash or check. Space is limited and payment is due Thursday, May 28th. If the trip sells out, please get on the wait list! There are always cancellations.
