Crafton Sustainability Festival at Crafton Park
Join neighbors for a day full of FREE sustainable community initiatives!
Free Market On the Stage
8 AM drop-off begins / Shopping from 9-12 pm
The "Free Market" is the place to be for anyone decluttering for spring cleaning or searching for treasures that are “new-to-you”! Feel free to drop off lightly-used items any time during the event that you are looking to part with, and peruse the selection items looking for a new home… ALL FOR FREE!
Acceptable Items to donate:
Housewares/home decor, home electronics/small appliances (working), small/lightweight furniture, clean clothing/shoes, pet products (leashes/collars/harnesses, bedding, food/treats, cages, etc., toys/games, sports gear, tools, books, DVDs, music media, craft supplies, gift wrap, and seasonal/holiday decor.
Items not acceptable for the Free Market:
Food (Please donate to Crafton food pantry instead!), worn underwear, weapons, clothing or shoes that are no longer wearable, large furniture or appliances, or any items that are badly broken, unusable, or moldy/mildewy
Volunteers will be available to assist with unloading of donations items beginning at 8 am.
*PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL ITEMS LEFT OVER AT THE END OF THE EVENT WILL BE DONATED TO VARIOUS LOCAL CHARITIES!
Upcycling Make-Off Competition by Wabi Sabi Upcycling
Entries due 8 - 8:45 / Winners announced at 11:45 am / FREE to enter
Compete against other eco-conscious creatives and show off your favorite hobby, craft, or art! Make whatever you'd like - as long as it's made of at least 75% secondhand materials! Children, teens, and adults are welcome to enter. Prizes donated from local businesses.
Paper Shredding & Medicine Take Back
Sponsored by Representative Deasy and Senator Fontana
8 am – 11am (Or until trucks are full)
Please use the W. Steuben Street entrance to the Park.
Paper Shredding – Participants are asked to stay in your vehicle. Items for shredding should be placed in a box or paper bag, free of bindings, staples, or binder clips.
Medicine Take Back – Collection of any unused, unwanted, or expired prescriptions.
Dumpster for Non-recyclable Items
8 am – 12 pm
Dumpsters will be available for Crafton Borough residents to dispose of Building Materials, Bulky Items, Household Clutter, Yard Debris, Small Appliances, etc. Crafton Public Works will be available to assist residents during the event.
Items that will not be collected for disposal.

Community Farm Prepping and Planting
10 am - 12:30 pm
Prep and plant the Crafton Community Farm for the 2026 season! Every year the Farm grows thousands of pounds of food to donate to the Crafton-Ingram Food Pantry. And don't forget you can bring your kitchen scrap compost down to the farm throughout the year!
