SNOW EMERGENCY
February 21, 2026
North Codorus Township is declaring a snow emergency effective Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 11 am until Monday, February 23, 2026 at 12 pm. The snow emergency is being declared to help ensure the safety of the community by allowing plow trucks to clear and salt the roadways.
The snow emergency means residents MUST remove all parked vehicles and/or trailers from public roadways in the township. They will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. The police will NOT
issue warnings.
Driveway aprons may become blocked during plowing operations. Crews will not go back to clear blocked driveways. Do not pile snow back onto the clear roadways. Do not pile or discard snow on any public properties, road rights-of-way, sidewalk, alley, parking lot or in front of any fire hydrants.
If you have a fire hydrant on your property, it is your responsibility to make sure the snow is cleared from around the fire hydrants.
