Notice is hereby given that the Harrisville Borough Council will hold a Special Public Meeting for the limited and specific purpose of addressing vacant elected borough offices.
Purpose of the Meeting: To formally declare any elected positions from the most recent municipal election that were not accepted by the winning candidate as vacant, due to the failure of the elected individual to take the oath of office within the time required by law.
Council may also consider the appointment of qualified individuals to fill any vacancies so declared, in accordance with the Pennsylvania Borough Code, including 8 Pa.C.S. § 1001 et seq.

This meeting is being conducted in accordance with the Pennsylvania Borough Code and the Pennsylvania Sunshine Act, 65 Pa.C.S. §§ 701–716. Official action may be taken during this meeting.
The public are invited to attend.
