The Edinboro Area Historical Society is hosting a free holiday event for the Edinboro community. We are setting up a working exhibit of several antique Lionel trains at the Doucette House Museum (our headquarters), at 126 Water Street. The trains will run on three tracks in the main parlor through a holiday display of vintage buildings on a 14-foot platform. We'll also have an exhibit of antique Marx model trains.
On Saturday December 6 and Sunday December 7, Saturday December 13 and Sunday December 14, the museum will be open from noon to 3 p.m. Admission is free. Families are welcome to stop by, see the trains and sample holiday cookies, cold apple cider and hot chocolate (no charge). Our gift shop will be open during those hours. A raffle and auction will also take place at the event.
