The City of Taft invites all residents to attend a Community Meet and Greet with Mr. Kirk Massey, the incoming Chief of Police candidate. This event is an opportunity for residents to meet Mr. Massey, learn about his background, and discuss the future of public safety in Taft.
Date: Saturday, November 22, 2025
Times: 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Location: Julia M. Alvarado Center, 110 Allende St., Taft, TX 78390
Each session is expected to last 1–2 hours depending on attendance.
About Mr. Massey:
Mr. Massey has over 32 years of municipal law enforcement experience, including service as a Commander over Brownsville’s Uniformed Services Unit. His experience includes community policing, conflict resolution, and leadership in multiple divisions.
