Proclamation of the City of Bruceville-Eddy
Celebrating URJ Greene Family Camp’s 50th Anniversary and Longstanding Legacy in our Community
WHEREAS, URJ Greene Family Camp has served the Jewish community throughout the United States by offering an immersive and exhilarating summer camp experience to children from Texas, Oklahoma and beyond; and
WHEREAS, URJ Greene Family Camp has provided employment opportunities for the citizens of our community; and
WHEREAS, URJ Greene Family Camp has served a direct public service throughout the years by offering its facilities to aid in times of emergency and to local non-profits for various fundraising events; and
WHEREAS, URJ Greene Family Camp is now celebrating its 50th year of service in our community; and
WHEREAS, we want to express our sincere appreciation to URJ Greene Family Camp for choosing our community over the past half-century and to all of the board members, staff, and camp alumni who have invested their time and treasure into the mission and vision of this tenured institution.
NOW THEREFORE, I, Mayor Linda Owens, do hereby recognize and honor the decades-long commitment this organization has displayed to our Country and the region, and do hereby proclaim July 12th, 2025 as ‘URJ Greene Family Camp Day’ in the City of Bruceville-Eddy.
FURTHERMORE, I urge and encourage all residents of Bruceville-Eddy to congratulate URJ Greene Family Camp for this significant milestone and wish them another 50 years of continued success in Bruceville-Eddy’s ‘backyard’.
