Description
As autumn winds down and colder weather arrives, now is the perfect time to make sure everything is stored properly and in line with Borough ordinances. A little prep now helps you avoid violations later! ❄️
🚤 Boats, RVs & Trailers (Ch. 214-92)
✅ May be parked in a side or rear yard for no more than 72 hours
✅ Must be stored in the rear, in an enclosed garage or screened from view
✅ Wheels must be blocked or immobilized
🚫 Not allowed: front yards, public streets, use as housing, or taking up an off-street parking space
⚠️ More than one RV is only permitted if stored in a garage
🚗 Vehicle Parking (Zoning 225-61)
✅ Park only on the street, in a parking lot, or on a permitted driveway or parking pad
🚫 No parking on grass or yards. A permit is required to install a parking surface.
🏠 Please use your driveway or garage whenever possible! Residents are encouraged to park off-street to help ease the burden for those who have no choice but to park on the street.
🗑️ Garbage & Recycling (Ch. 188)
Cooler temps mean more animal activity, so keep those cans secure!
✅ Use a container with a tight-fitting lid (never overflowing)
✅ Store cans at the side (screened from view) or rear, never in the front of the home
✅ Set cans out after 4 PM the night before pickup
✅ Store them properly again within 24 hours of collection
✅ Don’t let trash or bulk waste accumulate, and prevent odors and rodent or insect harborage
