Broadhead Sewer Separation Project: Restoration Update
Thank you to everyone in and around the Broadhead Sewer Separation project area for your patience. Main construction is complete, and the contractor returns this month to work through the remaining restoration or punch list, including paving repairs, vegetation restoration, and dozens of other items.
How we make sure it’s done right:
- The Borough is holding back payment. As with every infrastructure project, we’ve withheld funds until all restoration is complete and meets our standards.Starting conditions are on record.
- The contractor recorded detailed video of the area in April 2025 before work began. Properties will be restored to the condition shown in that footage.
Timing: The Borough and contractor are working to finish everything this fall. If weather doesn’t cooperate, some items may need to wait until spring 2027, when conditions allow them to be done properly.
Have a concern? If you’ve already discussed an issue with Borough staff or Gateway Engineers, it’s on the list and you don’t need to report it again. If you haven’t yet, please contact Corey Chrisman, Director of Borough Services, at 412-357-1793 or cchrisman@craftonborough.gov. An email with pictures, address of concern/s and contact information is preferred, and helps us confirm whether we already have it on the list.
