HAWASA BACKFLOW NOTICE CLARIFICATION
Backflow prevention assembly installation is recommended, not required by HAWASA. HAWASA currently has no installation enforcement policy for residential properties nor commercial properties.
Single-family homes with NO fire sprinkler system, inground pool, or irrigation system may disregard these notices.
To stop future letters or ask questions, call 1-844-605-5213 with the Hazard ID on your notice. The local HAWASA office cannot access or update these records.
Commercial properties, multi-unit residences, and homes with any of the features above are considered high-risk.
