Join our team in rail trail development!
York County Rail Trail Authority is currently seeking energetic, community-minded candidates to fill three openings for voting members on the Authority, effective January 2027. In the coming year, the Authority will continue to focus efforts on building new miles of the Hanover Trolley Trail (HTT) along a recently acquired dormant rail line, with the goal of creating a continuous, off-road rail trail from Hanover to Spring Grove and beyond. Another exciting project is a study to determine a future connection between the HTT and York’s very popular Heritage Rail Trail.
The Authority seeks individuals who desire to actively participate in these projects and other trail-related promotional activities. Successful candidates will be recommended for appointment by the York County Board of Commissioners in early 2027.
Inquiries may be directed to the York County Rail Trail Authority as listed above. Interested persons are encouraged to submit a letter/email of interest to the Authority by November 30, 2026.
