Description
Brookfield Renewable N.A., owner and operator of the Safe Harbor Hydroelectric Station and Dam, is providing public notice of an upcoming drawdown of Lake Clarke to facilitate a routine dam inspection. Water levels will be lowered to an approximate elevation of 222.0 feet above sea level, approximately 4 to 6 feet below the normal operating elevation for this time of year.

The drawdown is planned to begin on October 26, 2026, with Lake Clarke reaching its lowest elevation of 222.0 feet above sea level on October 27, 2026. Water levels will begin returning to normal operating elevations that evening and may take one to two days to recover, depending on river conditions and inflows. The drawdown is subject to weather and river conditions and may be postponed if necessary.

To help ensure the public is aware of the drawdown, Brookfield has posted an alert on the SafeWaters website at https://safewaters.com/facility/safe-harbor/.
