UPDATE TO 2026 PAVING PROJECT

Description
On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 7 AM – A.H. Cornell Paving Company began the 2026 Borough Road Paving Project. Due to tomorrow's weather forecast, and unexpected delays, changes have been made to the schedule.
Please see attached maps of where road closures will occur. Emergency vehicles and school buses will need to be rerouted.
Maps attached depict road closure signage locations and scope of work. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY, roads will not be accessible during construction.
Start Date 10/14/2026, project plan in the order listed below and anticipated date ranges, but could change due to weather:
10th and Prospect Avenue – 10/14 to 10/15 (now anticipated to be complete 10/19)
10th and Church St – 10/15 to 10/16 (now anticipated to be complete 10/20)
Highland Ave and Pennsylvania Ave to Main St – 10/20 to 10/22
Fairview Ave and Highland Ave to Borough line – 10/22 to 10/23
Swartley St and Montgomery Ave intersection – 10/22 to 10/23
Swartley St and Shearer St – 10/21 to 10/26
Church St from 3rd to 4th – 10/26
2nd St both sections – 10/27 to 10/28
2nd St and Prospect Ave and Main St intersection – 10/28 to 10/29
