The Town of Porter Public Works Department will begin its annual fall leaf collection on Monday, October 26, 2026, continuing through Friday, December 4, 2026, weather permitting.
Crews will collect leaves throughout Town following the designated collection areas shown on the attached Leaf Collection Map.
🍁 Leaf Collection Guidelines
To help crews collect leaves safely and efficiently, residents are asked to:
• Rake leaves to the edge of the roadway for collection.
• Do not pile leaves in or near alleys. Leaf collection crews will not collect leaves from alleyways.
• Keep leaves out of the street and storm drains to prevent drainage problems.
• Do not bag leaves or mix them with branches, brush, grass clippings, or other yard waste.
• Keep leaf piles clear of parked vehicles and other obstructions so collection equipment can access them.

Collection schedules may vary depending on weather conditions and the volume of leaves throughout Town.
