Description
The Town of Porter has received confirmation that the State of Indiana's contracted grapple truck will begin collecting storm-related vegetative debris from public rights-of-way throughout Town on Friday, October 16.

This collection is part of the State's ongoing debris removal mission following the severe storms of August 11.

⚠️ Residents: Please Move Storm Debris to the Right-of-Way

Residents who still have storm-related vegetative debris are asked to place it in the public right-of-way for collection.

To help crews complete collection safely and efficiently, please follow these guidelines:

• Vegetation ONLY. No grass clippings, bags, or nonvegetative materials.
• Contractors cannot enter private property. All eligible debris must be placed in the public right-of-way.
• Keep piles accessible. Do not place debris near fire hydrants, mailboxes, or other obstructions.
• Avoid power lines. Never place debris on or near power lines or on another person's private property.

We appreciate everyone's continued patience and cooperation as we complete this final phase of storm cleanup throughout Porter.
