Description
Avenue L Stormwater Detention Pond:
Pre-construction meeting scheduled for late October.
2026 Public Stairways and Walkways:
Worked slated to start week of October 12th. Resident notifications have been distributed.
ALCOSAN Regionalization Work -
This project involves the lining of sanitary sewer lining in following areas:
- Ardmore Blvd. between Yost Blvd. and Kenmore Ave. (TBD)
- Ardmore Blvd. near Berkley Ave. (Starting week of October 19th)
- Ardmore Blvd. near Newport Rd. & Leon Way (Starting week of October 19th)
- Sherwood Rd. near Cherry Valley Rd. (Starting week of October 19th)
When lining is performed, an odor can be present within homes/businesses given the connection of the lateral to the main line. The odor dissipates within 24-48 hours. The contractor will provide door hangers with further information ahead of the commencement of this phase of the project.
2026 ROAD PROGRAM -
Re-grading of Cherry Valley Road should continue through this week and may into next week. Other grading work to be completed in identified areas, such as Sylvan Road and Sylvan Way.
COMPREHENSIVE RECONSTRUCTION: AVENUE D -
Work is in motion and will continue through the end of the month and into November.
PEOPLES GAS MAINLINE RENEWAL -
Note: This is not a Borough project. We are communicating with the utility to provide updates and providing them when they are available.
Description: Peoples Gas is replacing 50+ year old bare steel lines with new durable lines that are anticipated to last 50-100 years. This is an initiative PG is taking throughout their network to prevent gas leaks before they occur and lines fail.
Ardmore Blvd Area Project:
Work has begun at the intersection of Ardmore Blvd and Morrow Rd. Work will stretch into Lafayette and Bevington Roads.
It is anticipated that they will then continue to westbound work. The entirety of this project will extend through November and into early December.
Roberta Drive Area Project:
Inspections are taking place for paving work.
Burlington Road Area Project:
Active construction on the following roads is slated to wrap soon. Road reconstruction will occur later in the year.
