NOTICE TO CEDAR KEY CITY RESIDENTS AND COMMERCIAL ENTITIES
Solid Waste Disposal Fee Increase
On September 8, 2026, the Levy County Board of County Commissioners approved a resolution increasing tipping fees at the landfill effective October 1, 2026. As a result, Waste Pro has increased the amount charged for solid waste services to Cedar Key city residents and commercial entities.
Residential customers: A one-time payment of $102 per residence will be billed to cover the increase for Fiscal Year 2026–2027. This amount represents an $8.50 monthly increase for 12 months and applies to all can sizes.
Commercial entities: Beginning with November 2026 billing, monthly rates will increase by 25%.
We understand that this increase affects household and business budgets. The additional charges result from the County’s increased disposal fees.
