⚡ POWER OUTAGE UPDATE

We have some encouraging news to share regarding power restoration!
Alabama Power: Approximately 21 customers remain without power inside the Ashford city limits. Alabama Power anticipates having those customers restored sometime today.
Wiregrass Electric: Across their service area, outages have dropped from approximately 18,000 customers to somewhere in the 9,000 range. That is significant progress!
Even better news is that additional help is on the way! Over the next 48 hours, Wiregrass Electric expects to have approximately 200 trucks operating out of the National Peanut Festival grounds and another 100 trucks operating out of Hartford.
This is a major increase in resources, and the hope is to drastically reduce the number of outages over the next 48 hours.
We understand that none of this makes it easier for those still sitting at home without electricity. We sincerely appreciate your patience and know how frustrating this has been.
Progress is being made, help is increasing, and crews are working hard to get everyone’s lights back on!
