Update for those who might not be aware:
On September 28, the N.M. State Forestry Office rescinded its statewide open burning restrictions.
While this is certainly a relief to all county residents, this is a reminder that if you need to conduct any open burning within Curry County, you must comply with the requirements of Curry County's open burning Ordinance No. 2016-03.
Some key factors within the ordinance are: NO burning when sustained wind speeds are 10 miles an hour or higher, and you MUST call Clovis Dispatch (575) 769-1921 before your start your burn.
