🍂 Fall Leaf Collection Reminder 🍂
Now that fall has arrived, the Borough of Hatboro would like to remind residents about our leaf and yard waste collection program.
The Borough offers curbside collection of leaves and yard waste placed in biodegradable bags only. Residents may place these bags at the curb on any scheduled trash collection day. The bags will be collected by a separate Borough recycling truck and transported to a DEP-approved yard waste recycling facility.
Once collected, the leaves and yard waste are composted and processed into mulch, which is then returned to the Borough for residential use.
As leaves begin to fall, we also ask residents not to blow leaves into the street or nearby streams. While it may seem convenient, leaves in the roadway can accumulate around storm drains, leading to blockages and localized flooding. Keeping leaves out of streets and waterways helps protect our stormwater system and local environment.
For additional information about leaf and yard waste collection, please visit the Public Works page on the Borough website at Borough of Hatboro or contact Borough Hall at 215-443-9100. Our staff is always happy to assist you.
Thank you for helping keep Hatboro clean, safe, and environmentally friendly this fall! 🍁♻️🍂
