Flood Advisory issued October 1 at 4:54PM CDT until October 1 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Southwestern DeWitt County in south central Texas...
Western Gonzales County in south central Texas...
Karnes County in south central Texas...
Northeastern Wilson County in south central Texas...

* WHEN...Until 900 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 454 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kenedy, Karnes City, Kosciusko, Nixon, Runge, Smiley, Nordheim,
Gillett, Pandora, Cestohowa, Palmeto State Park, Ecleto, New
Davy, Gruenau, Cotton Patch, Helena, Paweleville, Pana Maria,
Leesville and Bebe.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
