The following message is from the San Patricio Municipal Water District regarding the taste and odor of our water:
Water Quality (Geosmin): The source water from the reservoirs that serve our community currently contains elevated levels of geosmin, which can cause a musty or earthy taste and odor. Please note that geosmin is safe to consume and affects only the water’s taste and odor, not its safety, per San Patricio Municipal Water District.
