Flood Watch issued September 12 at 2:28AM EDT until September 13 at 12:00AM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Kentucky, including the following counties,
Bracken, Lewis, Mason and Robertson, and portions of Ohio,
including the following counties, Adams, Brown, Fairfield,
Franklin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Pickaway, Pike, Ross and
Scioto.
* WHEN...From 8 AM EDT this morning through this evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Scattered thunderstorms with locally heavy downpours are expected
Saturday into Saturday evening. With the ground already saturated
in many locations from rain the past few days, rapid runoff of
the rainfall could lead to localized flash flooding.
People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be
prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding occur
or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas and be
careful when approaching highway dips and underpasses.
