Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued September 4 at 12:38AM EDT until September 4 at 1:00AM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ
At 1238 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Copperville,
or near Easton, moving east at 50 mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR TILGHMAN ISLAND AND THE EASTON AREA
HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.
Locations impacted include...
Easton, Talbot, Denton, Federalsburg, St. Michaels, Preston, Tanyard,
Harmony, Smithville, Skipton, Copperville, Agner, Matthews, Griffin,
and Cordova.
