* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...

Southern Caroline County in eastern Maryland...
* Until 100 AM EDT.
* At 1215 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Rhode River,
moving east at 50 mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR KENT ISLAND, TILGHMAN ISLAND, AND
THE EASTON AREA
HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated. At 12:10 AM, several reports of wind
damage were received of wind damage around the DC Metro
area.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

Easton, Talbot, Denton, Federalsburg, St. Michaels, Preston,
Tanyard, Harmony, Smithville, Tilghman Island, Skipton,
Copperville, Agner, Matthews, Griffin, and Cordova.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
In addition to large hail and damaging winds, frequent cloud to
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors
immediately. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough
to be struck by lightning.
