Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued September 3 at 5:01PM EDT until September 3 at 5:30PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 501 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 8
miles south of Oil City to 6 miles east of New Castle, moving east at
30 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
New Castle, Grove City, Slippery Rock, New Wilmington, Oakwood, New
Castle Northwest, Harrisville, Plain Grove Township, Emlenton,
Clintonville, West Liberty, Eau Claire, Harlansburg, Kennerdell,
Barkeyville, West Sunbury, Volant, Cherry Valley and Boyers.
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing
widespread damaging winds.
