Please see attached Press Release for road improvements on S.R. 225, Peters Mountain Road, that will add turn lanes and support future development at the Detweiler Park Entrance.
Dauphin County expects construction to begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, and be completed by October 31, 2026.
During construction, visitors and motorists should expect temporary traffic-control measures, construction activity near the park entrance and possible delays along PA Route 225.
Detweiler Park is expected to remain open during construction, and visitors should use caution when approaching the park and follow all posted traffic-control signage.
