Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued September 3 at 8:24AM EDT until September 3 at 9:00AM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 824 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 18
miles east of Homer City to near Mount Pleasant, or along a line from
18 miles east of Homer City to 9 miles southeast of Greensburg,
moving southeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Greensburg, Jeannette, Latrobe, Irwin, McChesneytown-Loyalhanna,
Blairsville, Youngwood, Derry, Lawson Heights, New Stanton,
Ligonier, Black Lick, Calumet-Norvelt, New Florence, New
Alexandria, Seward, Penn, Bolivar and Madison.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds.
Wind damage with these storms may occur before any rain or lightning.
