Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued September 3 at 7:50AM EDT until September 3 at 8:00AM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 750 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 9
miles west of Indiana to 6 miles south of Apollo, moving southeast at
40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Vandergrift, Apollo, Plum, Murrysville, New Kensington, Lower
Burrell, Oakmont, Fox Chapel, Springdale, Cheswick, North Apollo,
Avonmore, Orchard Hills, Saltsburg, Oklahoma and West Lebanon.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds.
Wind damage with these storms will occur before any rain or
lightning. Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover.
