Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued September 3 at 6:11AM EDT until September 3 at 6:30AM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 611 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 14
miles north of Sugarcreek to over Hermitage, or along a line from 15
miles north of Oil City to over Hermitage, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported trees and wires down in northern
Mercer County.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Hermitage, Sharon, Oil City, Grove City, Franklin, Sharpsville,
Sugarcreek, Farrell, Slippery Rock, New Wilmington, Mercer,
Pulaski, Hasson Heights, Stoneboro, Seneca, Harrisville, West
Middlesex, Polk, Plain Grove Township and Sandy Lake.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms have produced damaging winds.
