Extreme Heat Warning issued September 3 at 2:38AM CDT until September 4 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Lincoln IL
* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 105.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and west central
Illinois.
* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Wear lightweight
and loose fitting clothing. Take action when you see symptoms of heat
exhaustion and heat stroke. Never leave pets or children unattended
in parked vehicles.
