Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued September 3 at 12:12AM EDT until September 3 at 12:30AM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 1212 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 6
miles west of Leetonia to over Brockport, or along a line from 18
miles southwest of Wellsboro to 9 miles south of Ridgway, moving
southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
St. Marys, Wellsboro, Cameron, Wharton, Keating, Emporium, Renovo,
Galeton, Gaines, South Renovo, Force, Benezette, Tamarack, Kettle
Creek State Park, Stevenson Dam, Cross Fork, Cherry Springs State
Park, Westport, Ole Bull State Park and Sizerville.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
