Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued September 2 at 9:11PM EDT until September 2 at 9:45PM EDT by NWS State College PA

At 911 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 8
miles north of Westfield to near Rew, or along a line from 24 miles
northwest of Wellsboro to near Bradford, moving southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Coudersport, Port Allegany, Roulette, Galeton, Shinglehouse,
Westfield, Genesee, Gaines, Denton Hill State Park, Lyman Run State
Park, Harrison Valley, Keating Summit, Coryville, Eldred,
Knoxville, Ulysses, Sweden Valley, Oswayo and Ski Denton Ski Area.

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and
large hail.

Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread
significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately
likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of
a building. These storms may cause serious injury and significant
property damage.
