Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued September 2 at 8:52PM EDT until September 2 at 9:30PM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 852 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Avis, or near
Jersey Shore, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Williamsport, Jersey Shore, Avis, Duboistown, McElhattan,
Collomsville, Cogan Station, Elimsport, South Williamsport, Garden
View, Oval, Salladasburg and Little League World Series Complex.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 180 between mile markers 24 and 29. Interstate 99 between
mile markers 136 and 141.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

National Weather Service office in State College PA.
