Extreme Heat Warning issued September 2 at 11:14AM CDT until September 4 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Lincoln IL
* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to
around 105. Expect minimal relief overnight with lows in the mid
70s.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, southeast, and west
central Illinois.
* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
