***CRIME WATCH ALERT AUGUST 28, 2026***
The Crafton Police Department has taken 3 reports this month so far of bicycle thefts. There is a common theme in all of these thefts…the bicycles were all left unsecured. Two of the thefts have occurred at the Crafton Library and the other was on Crafton Blvd. near the Alcosan Trail. Parents, please remind your children to use locks on their bicycles so that they are not easy victims. Remember to use the lock to secure the bicycle to a fixed object that will not move and to connect the lock to the frame and the wheels if they are the quick release style of wheels. Please report any suspicious people immediately by dialing 911 and if you have any tips on suspects, please contact the police department at 412-921-2016.

Kia and Hyundai owners are reminded to take extra measures to secure their vehicles.
NEVER LEAVE ANY VEHICLE KEY IN YOUR VEHICLE.
