Public Works crews continue making significant progress with storm debris collection throughout Town.
The first round of collection in Porter Cove has been completed, and crews are currently working in the downtown area and north of U.S. Highway 20. Public Works hopes to have completed at least one round of collection throughout Town by later today.
Please keep vehicles away from brush and debris piles. Crews may be unable to collect a pile if a parked vehicle blocks access for the brush truck, grapple truck, loader, or other equipment. Some piles in the downtown area cannot be collected today for this reason.
If your debris pile is missed during the first round, please be patient. Crews will continue making additional rounds through Town as storm debris removal continues.
Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation as our Public Works Department works through the extraordinary amount of debris left by the August 11 storm.
