Description
Do you have a passion for public service? Are you looking to be more active in the community but aren't sure how? Then we encourage you to apply for the vacancy on Borough Council! Serving on Council is a great opportunity to be an advocate for your community, and we are excited to work with civic-minded residents who have the Borough's best interests at heart.
We are currently accepting applications up until the deadline of Friday, September 4th. To be eligible to serve, you must have resided in the Borough for at least one year and be registered to vote in the Borough. Please submit a letter of application detailing your interest in the position and relevant experience to Borough Manager Mary Zimmerman. Letters can be mailed to or dropped off at Borough Hall at 114 East Maple Avenue, or emailed to manager@langhorneborough.com.
Borough Council will review the applications and vote to confirm the new appointee at the September Council Meeting on Wednesday the 9th. Once confirmed, the appointee will serve the remainder of the term. The Council seat will then be up for election in November 2027.
