York County Mosquito Update and Information

Description
Please find attached information sheets from the County of York regarding mosquito precautions. Additionally, the county has supplied the following information:
Stay indoors during peak mosquito hours
o Dusk to Dawn (Keep in mind that it is getting darker later)
· Wear long sleeves, pants, and closed-toed shoes if possible
o Exposed skin may be at risk for biting mosquitoes
· Wear bug repellent
o Specifically bug repellent containing at least 30% DEET or another EPA approved active ingredient
· Remove all the standing water from your property
o Birdbaths, wheelbarrows, buckets, tires, unused flower pots and children’s toys can hold water and breed mosquitoes.
