Description
Flash Flood Warning issued August 20 at 6:42PM EDT until August 20 at 9:45PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ

At 642 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain with water rescues around Delaware County.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall
rate is 0.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already
occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Philadelphia, Camden, Wilmington, Newark, West Chester, Gloucester
City, Chester, West Deptford, Yeadon and Westtown.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
