Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued August 16 at 3:44PM EDT until August 16 at 4:30PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 344 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
near Meridian to over Whitehall, or along a line from 6 miles
northwest of Butler to over Bethel Park, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. At 330 PM law enforcement reported
trees and power lines down across the Zelienople area of
Butler County.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross Township,
McCandless Township, Monroeville, Cranberry, Greensburg,
McKeesport, Butler, Franklin Park, Jeannette, Vandergrift,
Kittanning, Apollo, Shaler Township, Plum, West Mifflin and North
Side Pittsburgh.

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms have produced damaging winds.

Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread
significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately
likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of
a building. These storms may cause serious injury and significant
property damage.
