Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued August 10 at 12:41PM EDT until August 10 at 1:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 1241 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Irwin, or 8
miles southeast of McKeesport, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. Trees were reported down near
Clairton.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Greensburg, Jeannette, Mount Pleasant, Irwin, Manor, Youngwood,
West Newton, New Stanton, North Irwin, Sutersville, Penn, Madison,
Arona, Hunker, Adamsburg, Herminie, Grapeville and Harrison City.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm has produced damaging winds.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
