Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued August 10 at 12:32PM EDT until August 10 at 1:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 1232 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near White Oak, or
5 miles southeast of McKeesport, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. Trees were reported down near
Clairton.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Greensburg, McKeesport, Jeannette, White Oak, Mount Pleasant,
Irwin, Manor, Youngwood, West Newton, Liberty, New Stanton,
Versailles, Lincoln, North Irwin, Sutersville and Penn.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm has produced damaging winds and is capable of
producing large hail.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
