Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued August 10 at 8:37AM EDT until August 10 at 9:00AM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 837 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Rutherford to near Valley Green to Gettysburg, moving
east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Harrisburg, Lower Allen, Hershey, Colonial Park, Weigelstown,
Progress, Middletown, Palmyra, New Cumberland, Linglestown, Steelton,
and Hummelstown.
This includes the following Interstates...
The Pennsylvania Turnpike from mile markers 239 to 255.
Interstate 81 from mile markers 66 to 81.
Interstate 83 between mile markers 26 and 39, and from mile markers
43 to 50.
Interstate 283 from mile markers 0 to 2.
Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
