Description
Flash Flood Warning issued August 7 at 6:01PM EDT until August 7 at 7:15PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 601 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding across
the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash
flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported flooded roadways across the warned
area.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Monroeville, Shaler Township, Plum,
Wilkinsburg, Swissvale, O'hara Township, Forest Hills, Wilkins
Township, Oakmont, Fox Chapel, Turtle Creek, Millvale and Etna.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
