York County SPCA Hosts FREE Adoption Events to Celebrate National Clear the Shelters Movement
WHAT: The York County SPCA to host FREE adoption events.
WHERE: Brougher Companion Animal Shelter – 3159 Susquehanna Trail N., York, PA 17406
WHEN: Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
WHY: the York County SPCA will WAIVE ADOPTION FEES for all adult pets (aged six months or older)
to celebrate Clear the Shelters month, a nationwide movement to create capacity for local animal
shelters and rescues. These events will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both days, and animal
adoptions are first come, first served. Visitors can browse and meet all types of adoptable animals
during these events. While adoption fees are waived, attendees should bring their credit card for
purchases, including leashes or collars, dog license fees, bloodwork, or carriers. This will be a cashless
event. Adoption fees for kittens and puppies under six months old are not waived and will remain at
the standard rate.
