The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southeastern Allegheny County in southwestern Pennsylvania...
East Central Washington County in southwestern Pennsylvania...

* Until 245 PM EDT.

* At 1150 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms produced 0.5
and 2 inches of rain so far with an additional 1 to 2 inches
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Bethel Park, McMurray, Gastonville, West Mifflin, Baldwin, Upper
St. Clair, Whitehall, South Park Township, Jefferson Hills,
Pleasant Hills, Clairton, Glassport, Monongahela, Liberty, New
Eagle, Elizabeth and Lincoln.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
