Description
The following construction projects have begun or will begin in the Borough within the month of August:
2026 ROAD PROGRAM -
Final wearing course (or top layer of paving) to be applied in the following areas the week of August 10th:
- Sylvan Road between Glasgow Road and Woodside Road
- Cherry Valley Road between House #133 and House #141
- Avenue B between Avenue A and Lincoln Highway
COMPREHENSIVE RECONSTRUCTION: AVENUE D -
Starting the week of August 10th, Brex Enterprises will begin the stormwater line relocation project along Avenue D. This is anticipated to take approximately 4 weeks. During this time, please limit your travel to the Avenues, if and where possible.
PEOPLES GAS MAINLINE RENEWAL -
The following roads and surrounding area will be affected by a mainline renewal project that has started and is expected to last through September:
- Burlington Road
- Norway Road
- Batavia Road
- Edgewood Road
- Bevington Road
SEWER LINING PROJECTS -
There will be at least one sewer lining project that will be taking place within the Borough and is slated to start in August. While it may not close roads, the projects may cause temporary lane closures or reroutes to accommodate large equipment on site. In addition, during the lining process, residents connected to the lined pipes may experience a mild to moderate odor that should dissipate within 24 hours. Details on the process to residents affected will be directly distributed from the contractors.

- Forest Glen Drive and Atlantic Avenue
- Atlantic Avenue
- Kenmore Avenue
- Ardmore Blvd and Lafayette and Bevington Roads
- Cherry Valley, Forest Hills, and Woodside Roads
YOST BOULEVARD -
**This is not a Borough Project**
Allegheny County will be paving this road starting August 10th. Please be aware that delays and detours may present.
